Love me some Beastie Boys

Here's a vidjo I made in New Haven (hence the return of the porno 'stache) about the muzak that played in the lobby of my apartment building. It was my goal to find some recognizable songs. After many, many tries, one late night, and several drinks - there's success.

Hey Gay Podcast Fans... can we talk about this?

For those of you not in the know, Wanda Wisdom's Lucky Bitch Radio is a really great podcast our of Minnesota. Rob and I have met the lovely Miss Wisdom, (aka- Bradley) and you really couldn't know a nicer person. Well, this one has been on this intense diet/work-out regimen for a while now and it has certainly paid off! Let me just say, BRAVO my dear!*Snagged from his MySpace page with the caption "i keep these size 38" jeans as a reminder of what once was."

An old picture...

No purge this week... but next week, you're gettin' an ear full.

Hey y'all,

Unfortunately schedules didn't match up this week (all for very awesome reasons) and we couldn't put out a show. But next week will be our PRIDE special which I'm sure will be sweet.
I'm leaving tomorrow (Sunday) for Iowa so I can catch the tail-end of my 10 Year High School Reunion. (eek) Really I just want to go see who is fat and bald :) Also, I'm going to be donating some of my time to help clean up after the extreme devastation cause by the flood that has torn our beloved Iowa apart. If you have it in your budget, please donate what you can to the Red Cross.Hopefully these boys will still be helping out... honk.
Talk to you next week!

Pride is in the air... the in windows...

These came from our dear listener James:
"Boys - I hope these emails find you well... these are photos of the windows at Cowgirl Hall of Fame in the West Village for Gay Pride ... very fun this year."

Gotta love the gays....

Kids are so f-ing funny!

These commercials are so damn funny and cute. I've seen the first one a bunch of times, but I got some of the others too... nothing better than good commercial.

Love Love Love...

Guilty Pleasure TV

Anyone else secretly in love with Cheslea Handler of Chelsea Lately?

My Tivo picked this up a month ago as a suggestion
Now I have a Season Pass

I kinda want to hate her - but I love her hard and worship the round-table segment. I can sometimes skip the rest (thanks Tivo) but I sure love the round-table/hot topics dishing.

Anyone else?

What Happened.....

to Caroline Rhea?

Good GOD she looked like hammered shit on the Bravo A-List Awards.
I wish I could find a pic from that - I couldn't get over how puffy she was.
She's got a bad case of the Candace Bergens.

Help My Friend Get Naked!

So you all might remember my friend - and big friend of the Purge - Michael. He was in URINETOWN with me here in Chicago - and won the Jeff Award for Best Actor in a Musical (above)

Well now he's in Cry Baby with Harriet Harris (below)

Wouldn't you like to see him NAKED?

Well you can - for a good cause

Follow this link Michael's Broadway Bares Site

For each $1500 he raises he will post pictures of himself in less and less clothing.
If he makes it to $4000 he'll go the distance - so to speak.

Its for a great cause - Broadway Care/Equity Fights AIDS
and he ain't hard on the eyes either.

Happy Loving Day!

Loving Day is an annual celebration held on June 12, the anniversary of the 1967 United States Supreme Court decision Loving v. Virginia which struck down all anti-miscegenation laws remaining in 16 states citing "There can be no doubt that restricting the freedom to marry solely because of racial classifications violates the central meaning of the equal protection clause," In the United States, anti-miscegenation laws were state laws banning interracial marriage, mainly forbidding marriage between non-whites and whites.

The story of the Loving couple is one that many gay couples today can relate too. To read all about this historic case, click here. Also, our dear friend Drew Brody wrote a song about this case which is one of my favorites and makes me cry, "The Ballad of Mildred Loving (Loving in Virginia)" click here to buy it on iTunes, it's well worth it to hear this amazing song.

Not to get all political on your ass... but...

I think this is one of the better web-clips that has been put together displaying what will happen if McCain is elected... using the brilliant Philip Glass score from "The Hours" adds a lot too.

Don't forget to get your voter registration updated and current... you can do it here. You must vote, it's too important.

The quality of the picture isn't that great - but you can still get the idea with the sound.

Its our amazing friend BT singing "The Oldest Profession" from Cy Coleman's THE LIFE

Hey Nerds! How Do You Like These Apples? UPDATED

Yep, Apple's big developer conference kicks off today with an infamous key-note by Steve Jobs. No doubt he will be wearing this trademark black mock-turtle (ick) and my dad's jeans. He will be announcing (if the rumors are true): The new 3G iPhone (which I'm hoping isn't THAT much cooler than mine), The new iPhone "Apps Store" which will be great because I LOVE me some phone games and I want a checkbook application. Then maybe, just maybe a look at the new OS which has been rumored to have the code name of "Snow Leopard" (which I think is stupid because the one right now is called "Leopard", they should call it "Bulldog" or "Keith"). Also, if I know Apple, I'm sure they'll announce something that flew under everyone's radar. The party starts at 12:00 pm Central Time (figure your own time out) If you want to follow the play by play, there are a few blogs covering the announcements. Engadget and MacRumors are the ones that I'm following intently.

P.S. - I get laid all the time.

They announced the iPhone 3G - Looks pretty fancy... the best part, it's going to sell for $199!
I might need to upgrade. :)

It is also going to be available in White:
