You don't need to create an account or sign in or anything - but make sure it's not annonymous. You can just type in "Rob from Chicago" or "John from Des Moines" whatever. I have discovered a new product that i think deserves some praise. The New Bounce Lint & Freshness Roller not only removes all of that bullshit lint on your clothes, it makes them smell as though they had just been washed. This is perfect for that after bar smokey smell and for those of you dirty folk that don't wash your clothes and pretend that Febreze is good enough even though everyone knows what Febreze smells like and is really fooling no one... smellyass. This smells like laundry should smell.

Spokespeople for Lindsay Lohan (above) have confirmed that the 20yo whoretta has checked herself into the Joannie Greggains Institute for Legwarmers. When asked to comment on this latest venture Lohan said, "this is a positive thing"
And she added "fuck AA" as she threw up on Paris Hilton and Britney Spears' exposed cooter bone.

Before the reading (about 2 hours before) we were all camped out in a little area behind the few rows of chairs they had set up. Here I am entertaining the masses by reading aloud from Amy's book. You'll note the fat ass behind me who was CLEARLY from Kentucky or Indiana and kept sitting on me. He had a huge bag from Williams Sonoma with a platter he had gotten on clearance. He explained that he collects lobsters and that the platter had a lobster decoration on it. I am guessing that's why it was on clearance. We called him "lobster platter" the rest of the night.
John with Amy - she called him a faggot in her book enscription.
Cathi and Amy - thanks Cathi for the awesome pics.

Holy crap. December has arrived with a shit ton of snow in Chicago. We had plenty of warning that this was gonna hit us, but for some reason I have been existing in denial and was completely unprepared for my commute this morning. I wanted to kill myself - and still feel like crawling back into bed.
For starters it was in the 50s just a couple days ago - not so much this morning. And all of my shoes that might be appropriate for tromping through the snow have holes in the soles. Classy. So I just decide, "fuck it - I'll wear my Vans and my North Face fleece." Out the door I go - I hadn't gone 2 blocks and my feet felt like I am wearing sponges for shoes. The closer I get to the train (its about a 10 minute walk) the worse the sidewalks are. I get on the train and its like amateur night at a strip club - every clumsy motherfucker is taking the train and they don't know the rules.
The only bright spot? A hung, hot, shaved head boy was forced to stand right in front of wear I was sitting. Eye level. Let's just say I could tell he was cut.
And now I'm at work - Chai Latte and under-the-desk space heater to the rescue. Listening to "Charlie Brown's Christmas" on the iTunes.
Welcome to December.

This is the rascal parade leaving the Living Nativity - I just noticed that there's a Shooting Gallery in the background. How perfect. See a musical about the baby Jesus and ride your electric scooter to shoot some stuff. God Bless America.
I've given this one the caption, "Harry! Help Me With MY Coat!!!"
And this is my fav - a woman in her Dickens' Christmas Carol outfit helping a rascal lady park it. Mama Lindley is the woman standing with her back to the camera.

Its all just too much to believe.

Shockingly enough when you do a google image search for "votes for gays" you come up with things like women on the edge of a couch pissing into a mixing bowl. So this pic is the closest thing I could find - because JMH has been known to wear his hair in a bun.
So - here's the deal y'all
VOTE FOR US - we are nominated for BEST PODCAST by Chicago Free Press.

Ok - this is the cover of Stacy Sullivan's CD - I don't know her - but she did a great cover of this amazing song that I'm in love with.
It was the ending credits on 1993's shit sammie "Life With Mikey" starring Michael J Fox, Nathan Lane, Cyndi Lauper - Jennifer Warnes sang the original version.
If anyone has that MP3 email it to me - firstname.lastname@example.org
Otherwise download Stacy's on iTunes - its real good.

Hey listeners - especially those of you who are in Chicago.
We found out this weekend that we are nominated for Best Podcast by the Chicago Free Press. We don't want to make a huge deal out of it - but it's kind of fun. So if you're in Chicago pick up a copy of the Free Press and look for the Pressies ballot and vote for us. You can mail or fax your ballot in to the Free Press.
We are up against against Feast of Fools and RonnieandEddie.com. So give them a listen too - and make sure we are the ones you wanna vote for! Then, in the grand tradition of Chicago voting - vote early and vote often. :)
Thanks to whoever at Free Press nominated us - we appreciate it.

So on actual Halloween I ran into some other Beales! It was great - well sorta. I was pretty jealous of this guy's fur coat and broch. But he clearly spent money on his get-up and I stayed in a true Little Edie budget.
As I was posing for a picture with Big and Little Edie another Little Edie came by. She kinda just looked like a crazy person - but that's ok.

Well - I did it. It was kind of last minute - but I went to a fun Halloween party on Saturday night as Little Edie from my obsession "Grey Gardens"
The best part of the evening was when I was joking around and quoting the part of the film (and musical) when Little Edie keeps saying "I felt something slipping" - because sure enough as I got to the front door of the party I felt something around my ankles. It was my skirt (or rather cardigan I fashioned into a skirt). So I was standing wearing fishnets, pumps, a turtleneck, and a turban. Excellent.

So here's some breaking news on the Grey Gardens front.
First of all Grey Gardens The Musical opens next week. I saw it in previews and couldn't have been more in love and excited about it. If you're in NYC - go see it. If you feel the need to buy me a T-shirt I wear a medium. Go to their awesome site to see great clips and interviews with the stars.
On Monday, October 30th Christine Ebersole will be on the View and is scheduled to sing her final ballad from the musical, "Another Winter in a Summer Town" - its heart-breakingly beautiful.
Now the DVD of the original movie is hard to come by (and expensive if you buy it) - but I urge you to set your tivos for this Sunday, Oct 29th. The amazing documentary will be played on TCM at 7pm. Watch it. You just need to. I always recommend that people watch it the first time with subtitles on. It's a lot of crazy comin' at you - a lot to take in - but then you realize, maybe not crazy, maybe just very different. GOD I LOVE THIS MOVIE.
Which brings me to my next point. A suplimentary documentary made up of previously unseen footage from the original movie is finally being released nation-wide. For those of you in Chicago - it will play at the historic Music Box Theatre on Southport starting December 1st. I will be there. Maybe dressed as Little Edie. Not kidding. If you'd like to see a clip from the "new" film "The Beales of Grey Gardens" go to Rob's MySpace Page where you can watch a clip and also link to the documentary's mySpace page. And you can further stalk me.

So, I'm back from NYC
Don't even get me started on Grey Gardens - or seeing Jennifer Hudson in "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" - AMAZING
It was a GOOD TIME, short time in the city. I even had cocktails one table over from Lauren Bacall. That's who we roll.
On one of the "live from NY" calls I mentioned seeing the winning outfits from Project Runway. For those of you who don't know (like JMichael and Baby Jon) every week Macy's displayed the winner of each challenge. The next week they would put it on the clothes rack to the side and the new winner on the mannequin. So when I visited Uli's dress was still on the form and all the past winners were on the rack.
It was pretty amazing to see what a shitty condition most of them were in - you get the sense that those garments are on the models with a wink and a prayer - except for Laura's little black dress. She's my bitch and she's gonna win.
While I was there - I recorded some live segments with my new friend Chef Mark - he's a podcasting star with 2 amazing shows. Check his shit out! And our live recording - we do some sightseeing, some Project Runway dissin' with random people on the street, and get mani/pedis.
Check out HOTTIE Chef Mark and our live NYC podcast.
